Welcome!
I’m Nathasha Alvarez. I’m known as the Latina Diva On Wheels. I didn’t give myself this nickname. It evolved several years ago from friends and family who at one time called me Oprah on Wheels.
When I first started this site, I wanted to share my thoughts with the world but there were so many thoughts that if I truly shared everything here, you’d think I was Crazy Latina Diva on Wheels.
Instead I’ve decided to split my thoughts into three different sites. AudacityMagazine.com , my non profit organization, was established before this site and takes care of an important area of my life. I was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta aka brittle bone disease. Despite having several operations and over 100 plus fractures, I love my life and I thought there were others out there like me with a physical disability who wanted to live an audacious life. So Audacity Magazine was born to fill that need. Check it out!
Audacity Magazine took care of my thoughts and opinions as a person with a physical disability. Later on, my sister, Tanya created LaCosmopolatina.com which is a site for Latinas born in the United States to Latino/Hispanic parents. Balancing two cultures while maintaining our individual beliefs and goals is savvy and sexy. So that took care of another area in my life.
We are about to make big changes there as well. The best part is that you don’t have to be Latina to enjoy the site. So go check that out too!
With my two sites covering two important areas of my life, I didn’t know what to do with this site. It was born in between both sites. But amazing things happen when you let your voice be heard. Audaciouslady became the place where I could explore my thoughts about areas which are true to my heart like education, creative writing, social injustices of the world.
I guess this is the place where I can connect both of my two other sites and then some.
It’s always evolving.
So check back to this page to find out what else I will be doing here.
For now, I’m going to be writing short stories under the tab, Ms. A’s Classroom. Some of these stories will be fiction and some won’t. But I won’t tell. 🙂
The tab Living Audaciously will feature everything else because isn’t it better to be audacious than average?
